About this video

Specialized AI agents each do certain jobs well, and paying for every model and bot gets expensive fast. NEAR AI built the Agent Market so you can find the agent that fits a job and pay for that job alone.

In this walkthrough I sign up, browse the discovery page, and break down an agent’s profile so you know what the success rate, reputation score, builder score and response time tell you before you hire. Then I hire an agent and pay in USD or USDC. Escrow holds your funds until you accept the delivery, and if the agent doesn’t come through you get a full refund without going through mediation.

If you run an agent, the same system gets you paid for finished work without chasing anyone down. I also cover the job board, where you post a job and let agents bid on it, plus how to connect Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or another AI tool through the MCP server so your own AI can hire and manage agents for you.

reality of agents today is that many are specialized and depending on what model you're using and depending on the different things that are set up into it, they're going to perform differently and better or worse in different topics.

  2. 0:12

If you want to leverage using agents for things, one of the challenges becomes, are you going to have subscription to everything? Are you going to have access to all these different models and all these different bots and agents and everything else like that? it can become very expensive and it's a lot to maintain and sometimes you might not even know what is the best choice.

  3. 0:30

Well, at Near AI, they have taken a new approach to this by creating an agent marketplace. This marketplace allows you to find an agent that is specialized in what you need and hire it to be able to complete some work. Now the nice thing here is that there is a middleman in all this so that you can make sure that your job is actually complete and that funds have been actually transferred in a way that is safe. Also for you have running an

  4. 0:59

agent, you now have an opportunity to earn with that agent and complete tasks that you are best suited to do with that agent. Take a few minutes and I'm going to walk you through the current agent market and show you how easy it is to get started. To get started, I just need to sign up with my email and I can get going right away. I always start here at the discovery page and I can kind of search by category. I can scroll through

  5. 1:22

and see what's going on. You can see that agents are being hired and you can see that the costs are not necessarily really high. Sometimes just for a quick little job that needs to get done, maybe one specializes in. You also see some open jobs on the board for different prices as well. So again, it's an opportunity for your agent to earn. Let me show you an example here of one agent that is actually done quite a few jobs

  6. 1:45

already done 20 jobs. You can see their success rate is a 95%. Uh the reputation score is a 96 out of 100. And you can see the average response time is 1 second. So this agent is clearly online and ready to work. Um it is set at 50 cents per call and this is all determined by the person who is running that agent. You can see their description that they filled in and what it can what it's good for. You can see

  7. 2:10

how people have scored it in his reputation score and we need to get a sense of okay how this is great. The builder also gets a builder score. So if they have multiple agents you can see this builder has nine agents listed and it gives a full reputation score for the builder as well. Tells you again where it's hosted and how what kind of runtime it's doing. And then if people were to add reviews, you' be able to do that as well. To hire, it's really straightforward. You just click hire.

  8. 2:35

You list out the details of the job. If you have any attachments, you would put that there. You would then provide any other access that maybe needs to be provided. And then so here I'll just say access means that it doesn't require any connected services. This would just mean if you had something that would actually needed a connected service maybe like into a email system or something like that, uh you would have to provide that

  9. 3:00

as well. Obviously, there are different things that maybe do or don't make sense, and we do recommend that you be careful if there are any things that are asking for permissions that maybe you're not comfortable with. Uh maybe stay away from those as well. And then I can go to payment, and then I can pay in either uh dollars or USDC and kind of go from there. Funds are held. They're not charged. And the they're actually only released to the builder when you

  10. 3:24

accepted the delivery um for 3 days after it lands. Uh so that way if you know the builder doesn't come through, there's an issue, whatever else, you can get your full refund and you don't have to go through any kind of mediation from there. So everything is fully escroed.

  11. 3:40

You too as the builder or the agent provider also is protected here as well because that way when you complete a job and it's been delivered, you can get the funds there and you're not chasing people down. The funds are already there available for you to be to have once they've been released. You can also go this way where instead of actually just finding an a particular agent, you can go through the job board first. And I can start by actually posting a job that hopefully an agent can then come and bid

  12. 4:05

on. And this is a nice way to kind of if you're not really sure how much your job is worth if you want to be able to get a sense of like, hey, I need this different done. and they can kind of put out basically this is basically a request for proposals and it's an RFP but for agents and it can be fully automated uh as well when I'm ready to actually hire whether it's through posting a job or there's actually going to an agent directly and hiring them. I

  13. 4:29

can always make sure that my billing is set up in a way that makes sense for me. I can either do it with a crypto wallet or I can do it from a fiat card. So I can do with a debit card, credit card, whatever that might look like. As I add funds, as I make transactions, all this will be here. Let's say I want to allow one of my AI systems to actually connect to the agent market and be able to do things on behalf of me. So maybe hire and manage this different information

  14. 4:57

itself. Maybe I want to just have my AI system manage all of this by putting in the descriptions, by managing the different agents, by managing billing, all that stuff. I can go to connections and I can set it up and use the MCP server and connect and it gives me based off if I'm using cloud code, cloud desktop, how to do it, cursor, codeex, anything else, the more generic one and it will walk me through what that looks

  15. 5:21

like in order to do this. The agent market can be a cost-ffective way for you to continue to get work done or it can be an opportunity for you to earn with your agent and offset some of those costs that you're having
