Brief Summary

• Nayduck is now green again!
• We have an initial release of near-api-rs;
• We are making big leaps in DevX of estimating fees, but there is still a lot of work to do;

Results

• Node Experience investigated canary test issue blocking 1.21 rc release;
• Node Experience made Nayduck green, though it required temporarily removing some tests;
• Developer Platform made some good progress on the contract testing framework;
• Developer Platform added examples of testing Linkdrop and Fungible token using JS testing framework;
• Core team moved max_gas_burnt_view into ViewConfig which makes behavior of view calls cleaner;
• Network team finished rewriting network RPC to use JSON RPC API;

Challenges and Blockers

• Core team is blocked on adding tests for EVM precompiles. Linking new crates somehow makes unrelated tests fail. This requires more investigation from @eatmore and potentially help from @frol or @matklad ;
• Core and Contract Runtime teams continue working on the usability of the param estimator, which is blocking a lot of progress on updating the fees;
