NEAR should integrate cross chain connectivity with Polkadot

NEAR already uses the substrate framework and a bridge to Polkadot could be integrated fairly easily. I think this would be super beneficial for both ecosystems. Would love to hear thoughts on this! Pros/cons and how much interest there is in implementing a Polkadot collaboration.

I remember Octopus (now Omnity) was working on something but they’ve shifted focus.

Are you gauging interest to build this bridge yourself?
