⅓ [Report/mpDAO Grant #8] Meta Pool Educa ft Open Web Academy
The rapid evolution of emerging technologies that are based on the blockchain ecosystem creates an urgent need to train educational communities (teachers and students) so that they can integrate these advances into educational spaces. In this Blockchain Ecosystem, Decentralized Finance emerges as a tool to be incorporated into the programs of educational institutions. By understanding this new terminology and applying this tool in their daily lives, teachers can enrich their teaching methods and better prepare their students for the future.
Open Web Academy is a community that has brought together more than 2,000 blockchain technology enthusiasts, dedicated to driving projects and sharing knowledge about emerging technologies. Currently, it is carrying out a proposal that aims to design educational plans so that university professors can create experiences based on blockchain in their classrooms. Through Meta Pool services, teachers will learn to implement technological projects, encouraging the use of Meta Pool and promoting the adoption of blockchain technology in the educational field.
The proposal is divided into 3 milestones.
- Course design, LMS platform and inauguration: This first milestone focuses on the development of educational materials and the pedagogical structure of the course. It includes the creation of a customized LMS (Learning Management System) platform to ensure an interactive and accessible learning experience. Once ready, the course will be formally inaugurated, allowing participants to familiarize themselves with the platform and content.
- Complete course for teachers: This second milestone covers the execution of the course aimed at teachers, focused on the use of emerging technologies in the classroom. The content is designed to train teachers in fundamentals and practical applications, giving them the necessary tools to integrate blockchain and Meta Pool services into their curricula and foster the development of advanced digital skills in their students.
- Decentralized Finance (DeFi) course for students: The latest milestone consists of a specialized course for students on Decentralized Finance (DeFi). This program seeks to introduce students to the basic concepts and applications of DeFi, covering topics such as staking, liquid staking, and the use of swaps on the Meta Pool platform. The course combines theory with practice in controlled environments, giving them experience in blockchain and digital finance tools.
By October 22, 2024, the Open Web Academy team has successfully completed milestone number 1 of the 3 milestones of this proposal, having the following results.

3/3 [Report/mpDAO Grant #8] Meta Pool Educa ft Open Web Academy
This is the third and final report of our educational proposal called Open Web Academy (OWA) Educa. In this initiative, the OWA team, in collaboration with education experts, designed the course “Educational Experiences with Blockchain”, which aims to support university professors in consolidating blockchain-based projects within their institutions.
The course seeks to encourage the spread of knowledge about decentralized technology from the core of new code developers and product creators. As a practical example, the case of Meta Pool DAO is used, providing an applied and contextualized experience.
By December 17, 2024, the Open Web Academy team has successfully completed milestone number 3 of the 3 milestones of this proposal, having the following results.
Course for students
As mentioned in the last two reports, the complete course on designing educational experiences with blockchain was divided into two phases, where in the first phase university professors were trained to develop projects with blockchain and meta pool, and in the second phase, the students of these professors complemented their theoretical knowledge of blockchain and DEFI.
For this reason, 1 resource was modified to adapt to the target audience of these new sessions.
