We are thrilled to announce the Octopus Network IDO & development sponsorship for the Uniqueone.Network appchain. As we work closely with the Octopus Network Team on the Appchain, transparency towards how the project funds are being channeled is crucial. There are a few statements we need to clarify with our community :

1. Uniqueone.network team is building UoNo NFT Marketplace on Octopus Network in the NEAR ecosystem. The development is ongoing and team will work closely with Octopus Network to fulfill our potential as an Appchain partner.

2. UoNo NFT Marketplace is a standalone protocol which a culmination of our team’s multiyear experience in the crypto industry.

3. As far as funding is concerned, each protocol proposals are shared independently on a different post under the forum, but introductory post to UniqueOne.Network remains here. Uniqueone.network may propose any future updates on Octopus DAO (if applicable) apart from getting the community updated on gov.near.org - we are monitoring the progress here

Reasoning : Why do we need to curate? Curation allows NFT titles, image and description to be propagated on the web. Best practice is to hire reliable and reputable artists / creators to curate the content including, but not limit to single/multiple collection class - to encourage creativity and users leveraging the platform in the long run

Artist Commitment & Payable : $100 per artist per month. A minimum of 5-10 NFTs curated per month on UoNo NFT Marketplace (Appchain). The significant amount can be increase prior to creator’s experience

Reasoning : Bug bounty allows white hat hackers to find any possible means of loophole in smart contract, backdoors from portal to wallet securities. With attractive bounty rewards offered, hidden bugs can be determined easily
Task :
Rewards Distribution : There will be 4 Tiers of reward to be awarded to successful bug find based on types of vulnerability, level of debugging (beginner/intermediate/advance), and criticality. 1st : $2000 (critical priority), 2nd : $1000 (high priority), 3rd : $800 (mid priority) , 4th : $300 x 3 low priority bugs

Reasoning : The community governance council was formed by members of the community who would take part in day to day decision making, through DAO. The roles and responsibilities of community council will be : Creating governance proposal, Changes to the features available on existing platforms or their enhancement thereof, Onboarding artists and creators alike and helping them achieve goals of self sustainability in the long run, Create policies, structures and processes which help UON economy to flourish.

CC Comitment & Payable : Total of 5 CCs in Appchain operation, with $500 payable to CC per month with minimum 3-5 job/task is performed within a week, CCs are required to fill up reciprocal task in google docs and being monitored closely by UON and/or Octopus Team. Very good job, team. As time goes by, I am more pleasantly surprised at how high this project can go. As a Community Council I hope to be up to the task and be able to help UNIQUE ONE NETWORK.

Is it really necessary to spin up so many different servers? Ie: I reckon we could probably combine the NFT Image Cache Server and Database server since they are dealing with similar documents. Also, how heavy are the tasks running on the NFT scheduler server? Do we really need a dedicated server for that?

It would be industrial’s best practice to separate database and NFT Image Cache Server as both server are relatively different from one another in terms of job processing & specifications. Expect different loads on the processing end as we spin off the server for Caching NFT minting, as we don’t want to crash the database when the load increases. However, we will evaluate the situation, performance and update the community if there’s a need to minimize the setups.

Hmm, the voting process seems a little weird.

In the current scenario:

It would require either:

• 50% of council to agree OR
• 100% of Community Council to agree OR
• 50% of Members to agree OR
• 50% of Observers to agree

As for the current voting status, it has already been approved, since there is only one member and the member has voted, and it has reached the minimum quota.

In the future, I think it would be essential to change the “OR” to “AND” so that neither parties can directly tilt the scale.

We’ll try to propose to Astrodao on the Quorum features, currently there are no such features for generic voting except for group policy related proposals
