Dedemy Progress Report

Project title: DeDemy (Decentralized Academy)

One-liner: Development of a decentralized alternative to online learning platforms, such as Udemy.

Project DAO: None at the moment

Project Summary: The core LMS will be based on the open source OpenEdx and will be integrated with Near Protocol for blockchain ledger for transacting knowledge.

Series: Allowing 1000 teachers in residence interact with a decentralized learning platform of their own.

The following are the list of results obtained by the team:

• Local installation of OpenEdx and getting familiar with the platform ecosystem.
• Customization of the LMS platform with specific DeDemy project details.
• Integration of the near-api-js for NEAR login functionality and user account management.
• Integration of the NEAR transaction to pay for a course enrollment.
