Thank you for attending the Barcelona Ironclaw hackathon kickoff. That's really exciting because I've seen that we have quite a lot of city nodes that are organizing events in the in the same time frame. So, it's really exciting to see that what we build in Barcelona might probably get attention somewhere in Asia in USA. Uh yeah, it's very cool. Um [clears throat] about the next uh yeah about the next slide. Um we'll take a look at the kickoff agenda today. What we will do is an overview uh of the challenge and [clears throat] uh and the plan that we have for this ironcloud hackathon. We'll take a look at the timeline, the goals and evaluation criterias. We will give you a bit of uh information about how to build your Aaton uh your iron cloud even though you will have dedicated workshops coming on next week and then uh we will provide some uh URLs for um builder support and resources and you will have time of course to speak and ask your questions uh afterwards. All right. Uh let's start with the beginning. Uh this iron cloud hackathon uh organized in Barcelona is an initiative from the near legend city node here and uh we have found a partnership with a coding school that is called 42 Barcelona. 42 is a network of schools. I think that they are something like 50 of them across the world. um mostly in Europe but you also have like um some of them in Americas in particularly I've seen that there are three schools in Brazil I know that the that near has an active community in Brazil so I'm pretty sure you guys would find um 42 schools in your town as well uh you also have some of them in Asia and in Africa so yeah suppose you are an active live near Legend Hub. I'm incentivize you to to maybe get in touch with with 42 school if you have one nearby and we could keep with this partner partnership going. Um that's one word. Um the idea of the whole acetaton is to showcase how we can use iron cloud the secure and private AI agent uh version developed by near AI for automated workflows. And uh what we are looking at uh as ecosystem partners is us to grow new tools and skills that will later feature in uh in the common resources for more and more people to be able to build their own ion clouds. This um first hackathon is uh made by [clears throat] um partnering with a few ecosystem partners including Nova uh who built um the submission tool for your agent to be able to easily register and submit its final entry to the hackathon. You will be supported by near builders uh who will facilitate the building uh across the different uh support channel that we will present in this school. Yeah, nice. Cool. And so let's talk about what we'll be hacking on. Um something just want to pretext give a little context when we're talking about ironclaw. There are two versions that are available. There's the hosted ironclaw which you'll find at agent.near.ai. This one you log on, you click a button, you deploy it to our cloud and then there's this new reborn version. Um, I want everybody to know that the purpose of this hackathon is pretty experimental. The we are in the process of of deprecating the v1 of Ironclaw and we're trying to really bring Reborn up into production. It's a lot better. it has more features and we're hoping to see the uh the reborn get graduated up to agent.neer.ai soon, but it just it hasn't happened uh by the time of this kickoff. So, um for the purposes of this hackathon, you are free to use V1 ironclaw on agent.ai, but do understand that it's being deprecated. So if you have issues or feedback or anything on it, there's probably there's not a whole lot that we can do because it is a totally older different version and we would really like to encourage you to use the new reborn uh binary. So at nearbuilders.org/ironclaw, which we'll go over a bit more later, you can you can clone the ironclaw repo, you can build the binary locally, and then you can make changes and run it from there. uh either locally on your own machine or you can put it uh up on a hosted on your own on your own terms. Um but just wanted to clear that up. We are we are trying to encourage folks to please build with Reborn during this uh really experimental phase. Just to kind of touch on what Ironclaw Reborn is, it was just announced at the Eco Collab this past Wednesday, so about two days ago. Um it comes with a clear architecture. It's able to uh kind of swap out the different parts of the architecture a lot better. Um it has better execution. It's a lot faster. It's easier to maintain. So it's it's it's a lot better for the team that's working on it and for us as users that are using it. And uh just to kind of go over it, it it it has like a better trust model on it. It does run a lot faster with the near AI models. It upgrades a lot easier. So, some of the difficulties that we've experienced in the past with V1 of Ironclaw, we're expecting to kind of go away with this uh new reburn version. And then, yeah, it's it's a lot more resilient. It it has a lot more features. It's uh it's a lot more capable and the type of things that we can do with ironclaw. So as you're building, you know, whether you're just building skills and workflows on uh you're using it or you're diving into the code and you're making changes directly, three things to remember is that the faces and the brains, the parts, the engine underneath that makes ironclaw what it is is interchangeable. So you can switch out the the loop, you can switch out um kind of the different aspects of it all. The kernel is the one that is the only door to this uh authority to like the type of permissions that you can have that your iron clock can do. And then yeah, just remember that this new architecture it gives us a lot better speed uh more upgradability and trust and resilience. So we are in an experimental phase. Bear with us. Um but we're really building something very cool and by participating in this hackathon you're getting in on it at the very beginning. So Julian, you want to talk about the timeline? Yeah, let's start with this timeline. We are starting the kickoff today, June 12th, and we are ending uh the hackathon locally in Barcelona now on the 18th of June. You will have two workshops. Uh the first one will be on Monday. It's about setting up your Ion cloud agent. Um, of course you don't need to wait for us if you want to start coding this weekend, but uh let's say that by Monday you will have an exclusive video uh taking you step by step um in your uh ion cloud deployment. The second workshop uh will be Wednesday. It will be about adding skills to your IHON cloud agent. What we will see in this second workshop is how you are installing the ironcloud hackathon skill which will allow your agent to um final submit to the competition and um yeah of course um on the day uh Thursday 18th we'll have demos um all yeah we'll see just after that but we'll play all the video demos uh you will receive the prizes for the winners and We have a party. If you are in Barcelona or just visiting, you are very much welcome to join the crowds and have fun on Thursday. Yeah, that's the the submission requirements. So, essentially what the agents will publish through the cloud hackathon skill are a title and description of uh your AI workflow. You will also publish the skills and tools you have used. For this, you will see there is one very straightforward command that's called iron cloud skills list. You will type this in your Iron Cloud and it outputs all the skills that you have installed. Same for the tools I cloud tools lists. And so this is an easy export for you and for us it's a good way to catch up quick uh what the capabilities are of your agent. On top of that, I think the main uh judging um let's say media will be a video demo um proposing you to record a five minuteish video. Uh so and make it public on YouTube like this. We will be able to play all demos uh remotely Thursday. This is a good way for everyone to be able to participate like both um people in Barcelona and people abroad they can participate likewise in the hackathon by submitting their video demo and being played uh live for everyone. [snorts] The GitHub repo is optional even though uh if you have one I really strongly encourage that you add this to your submission. uh this will be a way for the next steps uh and for some partners to provide you extra services. I'm thinking now of the near launchpad for example that's GitHub based and so yeah just think that if you if you add a GitHub repo you might have more uh goodies uh adding to your to your submission. The ion claw hackathon skill is the one that will make the submission for yourself and you will have all the details in the workshop of Wednesday. Cool. So let's talk about the goals of this hackathon, what we're trying to get out of it. So we want some ironclaw use cases. Build some impressive endtoend agent use cases. Uh this is something that your uh that you decide a workflow maybe that you've identified in your daily life or something that you want to simplify and you want a agent to automate and so you should build this into Ironclaw and then that includes making a pull request to IronHub to add it to those uh the use case list there. You'll find Ironhub at hub.ironclaw.com. And then uh you're also free to post ideas of the use cases that you want to nearbuilders.org projects where we can kind of vote on them together by uh the participants of the hackathon. Another goal is more tools and skills for Ironhub. So this is building both markdown skills and WASM tools. Tools are a little bit different on Ironclaw. They uh are compiled into a WASM. So uh do uh do kind of consider that into it. And then when you h when you build skills and tools and you want to submit them, we'll be opening up a poll request to IronHub, which you can find the instructions on at hub.ironcloud.com/developer. And then finally, our goal is to uh is to build skills, tools, workflows around our partners. So we do have a pretty good list of partners and it's growing. If you are interested in uh getting involved in this hackathon, please do. But yeah, uh we'll be putting up a a link to the documentation that they've provided specifically, but essentially our partners have provided tools and resources and some ideas for workflows that they'd like to be built and then you can go ahead and browse them. You can implement them and then each of our partners have their own uh rewards. Now I want to be clear uh there are no cash prizes but our uh but through working with our partners we are trying to find some sort of recognition that we can uh give you guys. So uh I know that uh Julian you've got something with near merch local for Barcelona. Is that right? Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. Um, I have a bunch of of uh goodies here that I will drop at the at the party in Barcelona. And then, uh, we'll also, you know, we're we're trying to see maybe, uh, we'll try and work it out. Maybe the best things that we see are able to pick something out on a near merch store. We know that we can give you guys some blog posts and amplification. Uh, Julian will talk about the near launchpad, but also, you know, we we're this is all very experimental. We're early in this process. We're trying to see what type of rewards we can get out there and so um you know ideas are welcome and partners that want to come in. If you want users to come and build automations for you and you want to offer them something to do it, please reach out. What could you just talk just real quick about what is Near Launchpad and and what look like? Um cool. So yeah, the Neo Launchpad is a sort of automated business development uh engine that I built a couple of months ago when we finished our hackathon uh of the nearcom. Um I wanted to find a solution for the winners to to be able to push their products on the market and collect some market feedback. Um and uh now that the launchpad is operational, I believe that we could um definitely like all the ones who feel like their agents deserve attention because maybe they have built something interesting or they want to try their agent on the market. They want to collect some market signal about their targeted customers or adopters. Um so I think that yeah uh this is definitely something I will be happy to provide if you are building something during this hackathon and in the post hackathon build you want to test your audience like uh the launchpad will be here for you I will provide you some vusher codes so you can push your agent on the market and see see what's what's the feedback I can speak more about The evaluation of projects um we will essentially evaluate the projects on three criterias. Uh first the technical soundness. Um the main question here is does it work and is it built well? Um speaking of an Asian stack a sound architecture means that wasn't tool are used where determinism is important and the skills were are used where prompt guidance matters. There are there are really like two kinds of capabilities uh that you can add to your agents. The tool is really um how the agent will activate its um action power and the skill is an extension of your prompt. So somehow this is where you guide your intelligence into thinking this or that way. And uh of course you can add MCP servers to your um to your stack if uh if that's appropriate for for your use case. The second criteria for evaluation is real world usefulness. Um, of course, um, we can build a lot of interesting things and we can be very creative nowadays building with AI agents, but the ones who will get the most attention from us are obviously the ones who are building something that is useful. Usually we think of uh a profile of adopters and we are trying to solve a problem that this person is experiencing on on on a daily base. So yeah we will uh we will watch that uh re real world usefulness for your agents and uh this will definitely influence like the the the the track of the best ihome cloud use case. The third criteria is the ecosystem contribution. We are all building together uh the future of our um internet and our uh digital tools and so the ones who will build uh iPhone cloud agents that are useful for the whole ecosystem will definitely have let's say a better ranking. uh we are when we think of what we want to build it's always quite a lot of effort to put somewhere and I think that the best reward is when you find people like valuing the work uh that you've done and starting using your your app or in our case your agents right so that will be the third criteria ecosystem contribution so for builder and We will have some support and resources for you guys this week. There will be two virtual workshops. Tune in on Monday and Wednesday, both at 5:00 p. p.m. Central European time. Uh we want to kind of make something a little bit clear. There are some Telegram support channels to be aware of. TME me. So, ironclaw AI is your channel for giving feedback about ironclaw. if something's going wrong with the ironclaw uh or you know you like something you don't like something you know you need some you need some help there uh reach out into that chat and then the near legion Barcelona is the one for this hackathon so that's going to be where you're going to get your announcements your coordination uh if you want to find team members for if you want to collaborate on things uh join there and and and get engaged um all this is accessible via a nearbuilders web page that we spun up at nearbuilders.org/ironclaw. We'll be making this web page better as the week goes on. Uh the resources are going to improve as ironclaw improves and then uh we'll make it we'll make it a good link. So expect a lot of support and resources here. Who can participate? Uh well the hackathon is uh is quite flexible on that. uh we welcome solo hackers or team. Uh the only point is that you need to be legal age of course in your in your country in your jurisdiction and um yeah you want to say world about the projects maybe. Yeah so you know this is a very broad question and we're uh we have provided some suggested workflows and tools. I've got this Google link. Let's try to figure out how to put this out there. We'll put it we'll send this into the near legion Barcelona chat um directly, but this has a bunch of workflows uh and skills and tools that we'd like to recommend um if you want some ideas and you want to build something. These are things that have some there's there's people on the other end of this that want these made. And then specifically, I wanted to bring up um Telegram. So, we actually we brought up this hackathon and everything and you know the core architects of ironclaw thought it was a great idea and they would love to actually see uh a telegram tool um be built for the hackathon. It was there was one for v1 ironclaw but there isn't one for reborn yet. So, that is totally open. Uh go ahead and go ahead and give it a shot. So, I think that opens up for Q&A.
