head of devrel from Pagoda we're building the blockchain operating system think of it as a decentralized App Store we're all pretty used to interacting with app stores on a regular basis right there on our phones and the idea that you're browsing you're selecting things finding things of interest it's really that same experience but in decentralized way it's not controlled by any single entity that is gatekeeping all of it right so they're going to be different gateways that have different focuses some maybe for developers some maybe for gaming some maybe for nfts or other things like that but it's really an opportunity to build the experience you want in a decentralized way in my opinion the most valuable reason to build on the blockchain operating system is to really facilitate discoverability and composability the opportunity to sort of like build once share in many places and facilitate discovery of what it is that you have built to instantly tap in and have an opportunity to reach thousands and eventually hundreds of thousands of people is is a really powerful way to get interactions with an early audience and iterate from there one of the other really great aspects of the blockchain operating system is the ability to build frankly in JavaScript JavaScript is ubiquitous it's everywhere there's so many people who are familiar with JavaScript and if you're not it's not a huge barrier to entry that ability to both remix existing components learn from how they're built and then quickly compose your own version I think it's a really powerful thing and the existing interface has a really simple IDE something you can build with today in browser but for people who are used to working with GitHub or visual Studios code we also have Integrations that allow you to do
